On the 7th June 2010, Alex O'Brien of Rowland Jones Chartered Surveyors passed his Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) on the first attempt, to become a qualified Chartered Surveyor.

The APC process is designed to test a candidate's knowledge of working practice whilst complying with the rules and regulations as set out by the Royal institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).  In order to gain RICS accreditation, Alex has undertaken two years of structured training before sitting a final oral examination.  Alex did this whilst undertaking his Post Graduate Diploma from the College of Estate Management.

Becoming a Chartered Surveyor is a prestigious milestone and a huge achievement responsibility.  Alex is looking forward to using his new accreditation within the company's valuation department.
